Illinois Hiring Survey Illinois Employers Plan to Hire More Workers Illinois employers plan to add workers in the first quarter of 2000 according to a survey by Manpower, Inc. The poll indicates that 23 percent of Illinois employers expect to add staff for a net change of +11 percent. In the Chicago metro area 27 percent plan to hire more people for a net change of +13 percent. The struggle to find enough workers continues.
